Our original plan was to have a rest day in Crawford Bay, but the rain forecast and mosquito ravenousity forced us out.
The gorgeous ride to Creston reminded us of tire from Penticton to Osoyoos, but with no shoulder.
Along the way, Mike caught sight (and photos) of 4 bears on the road side (mom and 3 cubs). They were long gone by the time Jim and I got there. We learned afterwards that both Jim and I were prepared to sacrifice the other.
Celebrated our arrival with mini putt and ice cream.
Tomorrow will be a rest day. Jim and I would like to pick up the pace, but fixed commitments in Fernie, Calgary and Kindersley ahead are showing us down a bit. We will be speeding up after that, as there is a date limit for the Ferry in Newfoundland. BTW, book travel to St. John’s … the ending party sounds like it will be amazing.

Loving your posts, and following your route on the map. Heading north where we’ll have spotty service. Will catch up the end of July. Stay safe.
Safe travels! Thanks so much for following our journey.
